We hand select rugged pieces of old growth reclaimed wood, and fabricate sturdy bases to create unique and quality pieces of furniture. We find beauty in the defects. The wood used is old growth reclaimed lumber that can have drastic color variances, cracks in the grain, checking, old knob and tube holes, nails and nail holes round or square, knots and imperfections throughout. Holes are plugged with Walnut dowels and imperfections are filled with black putty or epoxy. Movement in the wood may occur, which is common in reclaimed wood and does not affect the structural integrity. You will find the markings of old saws used to mill the wood on the furniture.
